Syndesis Selected for EROS Pilot under 6G-PATH Open Call #2
Syndesis has been selected to implement the EROS pilot within 6G-PATH – Open Call #2, contributing an advanced edge-AI robotic services use case for Smart City environments. The EROS pilot focuses on deploying AI-driven service robots capable of real-time, human-centric interaction in public spaces such as municipal buildings, hospitals, transport hubs, and hospitality venues. By combining edge-native artificial intelligence, domain-specific datasets, and trusted, quantum-safe communications, the pilot demonstrates how next-generation networks can enable reliable and privacy-preserving robotic services. At the core of the pilot is Syndesis’ EdgeMind AI platform, which allows lightweight large language models (LLMs) to run directly on robots or nearby edge infrastructure. This approach minimizes latency, reduces dependency on centralized cloud services, and ensures compliance with European data protection requirements. The pilot will be deployed and validated on a 5G/6G Smart City testbed. The results will provide concrete evidence of how beyond-5G connectivity can support real-world robotic applications aligned with Europe’s vision for secure, human-centric, and trustworthy AI. Through the EROS pilot, Syndesis strengthens its contribution to Europe’s Smart City and 6G innovation ecosystem—bridging advanced AI research with deployable, market-ready solutions.
